The LED backlight is a critical component of any transmissive or transflective LCD module — determining brightness, color temperature, power consumption, and operational lifetime. Relialink manufactures LED backlight modules as standalone components and as integrated parts of our display module assemblies, giving OEM customers the flexibility to source just the backlight, the panel, or a complete integrated module.
Our backlight designs cover edge-lit configurations (most common for thin profile requirements) and direct-lit configurations (for larger panels or high-brightness applications). Light guide plate (LGP) design, diffuser selection, and LED current optimization are all handled by our optical engineering team to ensure uniform luminance distribution across the active display area.
Available brightness ranges from 200 nits (standard indoor), through 500–800 nits (industrial and semi-outdoor), to 1,000–2,000 nits (outdoor and high-ambient applications). Standard white backlights and custom color options (blue, yellow-green, amber, RGB) are available.
All LED backlight modules are RoHS compliant. Rated lifetime is 50,000–100,000 hours at rated current and 25°C ambient.
