VA (Vertical Alignment) LCD technology offers a significant step up in contrast ratio and black level performance compared to standard TN (Twisted Nematic) and STN displays. In a VA panel, liquid crystal molecules align perpendicular to the glass substrates when no voltage is applied, blocking light almost completely to produce deep blacks. When voltage is applied, the molecules tilt, allowing light to pass through and produce bright whites. The result is a contrast ratio typically 3–5× higher than TN, giving VA displays a more visually impactful, premium appearance.
Relialink’s VA LCD modules are used in industrial control panels, smart home displays, home appliance interfaces, outdoor kiosks, and any application where display contrast and readability under varied ambient lighting conditions are priorities.
