Custom Display Solutions — OEM & ODM

Your Display, Built to Spec — From single-engineer prototypes to million-unit production runs.

Custom 2.1" LCD Display
Custom 4.3" TFT Display

Relialink has been developing custom display solutions for OEM and ODM customers for over 10 years. Our in-house engineering team — comprising optical engineers, electronic designers, and structural specialists — has successfully completed hundreds of custom display projects across medical, automotive, industrial, and consumer electronics sectors.

Unlike distributors who simply resell standard modules, Relialink controls every stage of the custom development process at our Shenzhen facility. This means faster iteration cycles, tighter quality control, and a single point of accountability from concept to mass production.

Customize Every Detail

From screen size and interface to touch, coating, and packaging — every aspect of your display can be tailored to your exact product requirements.

Size Customization

Custom display dimensions (diagonal, viewing area, outline) to fit your product enclosure.

Interface Options

SPI, I2C, MIPI DSI, RGB, LVDS, parallel — we design to your host MCU/SoC.

Backlight Colors

Custom LED backlight in white, blue, red, green, amber, RGB, or bicolor.

Touch Integration

Resistive or capacitive touch overlay integrated with the display module.

Custom FPC/Connector

Flexible printed circuit routing and connector pinout per your PCB layout.

Optical Coatings

Anti-glare (AG), anti-reflection (AR), anti-fingerprint (AF) surface treatment.

Labeling & Packaging

OEM branding, barcode labeling, and custom retail or industrial packaging.

Wide Temperature Variants

Extended operating range from -40C to +85C for harsh environments.

Our Custom Display Development Process

A structured, proven 5-step process from requirements to mass production.

1

Submit Your Requirements

Share your display specification via email or WhatsApp. Include target size, resolution, interface, operating environment, quantity, and any reference product or drawing.

2

Technical Proposal

Our engineering team reviews your requirements and prepares a written technical proposal within 72 hours — covering recommended technology, specifications, pricing, and lead time.

3

Sample Development

Engineers begin developing the custom sample. This includes optical simulation, PCB design (if PCBA is involved), prototype assembly, and functional testing — completed in 2-4 weeks.

4

Sample Approval

You evaluate the samples and provide feedback. We accommodate revision rounds until the sample meets your approval. Most projects require one to two revision cycles.

5

Mass Production

Proceed to mass production with full 3-stage quality control (IQC, IPQC, OQC). Delivery schedules are agreed upfront and consistently met.

Engineering & Design Support

All engineering support during the sample development phase is included at no charge.

Optical Design

Luminance uniformity modeling, contrast optimization, viewing angle engineering.

Electronic Design

Driver IC selection, power management, interface PCB design.

Structural Design

Mechanical drawing, bezel/frame integration, waterproofing (IP-rated options).

Software/Firmware

Initialization code, driver libraries for Arduino, STM32, Raspberry Pi.

Custom Project Examples

Real projects delivered to real customers across medical, industrial, and consumer electronics sectors.

Portable Medical Monitor

A European medical device manufacturer required a 4.3" TFT display with custom outline, anti-bacterial coating, and capacitive touch calibrated through 2mm protective glass. Delivered approved samples in 3 weeks. Mass production at 2,000 units per month.

Industrial HMI Panel

A North American automation company needed a 7" graphic display with LVDS interface, wide temperature (-30C to 75C), and 1,000 nits sunlight-readable brightness. Our team proposed a VA LCD with high-brightness LED backlight — samples approved on first revision.

Smart Home Thermostat

A consumer electronics brand required a custom segment LCD with ultra-thin COG driver for a wall-mounted thermostat. Designed a 2.1" custom segment layout, matched their PCB connector footprint, and delivered samples in 12 business days.

Custom Display FAQ

Common questions about our custom display development process.

What is the MOQ for custom displays?

The typical MOQ for custom LCD display development is 500-1,000 units, depending on the level of customization and tooling required. For projects requiring new mold tooling, a one-time NRE fee may apply. We are flexible and happy to discuss requirements for smaller initial runs.

How long does the custom development process take?

Engineering samples are typically ready within 2-4 weeks from receipt of confirmed requirements and deposit. Simple modifications to standard modules may be completed faster. Mass production lead time is 3-5 weeks after sample approval.

Do you review design files at no cost?

Yes. We offer free technical review of your display requirements, mechanical drawings, and schematic before any commitment. Our goal is to ensure the proposed solution is correct before development begins.

Can you sign an NDA?

Absolutely. We routinely sign mutual NDAs with customers prior to technical discussions. Please request our standard NDA template or share your own.
