Graphic LCD Displays

Dot-matrix monochrome LCD modules in standard and custom resolutions, with high-contrast STN/FSTN options and versatile SPI or parallel interfaces.

Graphic LCD Display

Product Overview

Graphic LCD display modules give designers full control over every pixel on the screen — enabling custom graphics, icons, waveforms, charts, and non-standard fonts that character LCD modules cannot display. Relialink manufactures a comprehensive range of graphic LCD modules from 128x64 (the most popular entry-level size) to 320x240, using STN and FSTN display technologies with a selection of proven controller ICs.

Unlike TFT displays, graphic LCD modules are monochrome and do not require complex color processing — making them ideal for battery-powered portable devices, always-on instrument panels, and industrial HMI applications where low power consumption, wide temperature tolerance, and simple firmware integration are priorities. The absence of a continuous backlight requirement (some applications use reflective mode with no backlight at all) extends battery life significantly in portable products.

Our graphic LCD range covers the ST7565, ST7920, RA8835, and other popular controllers, with SPI and parallel interface options to accommodate different microcontroller architectures. FSTN variants offer a distinctive black-on-white or white-on-black appearance with sharper character rendering compared to standard STN — preferred in many industrial and medical applications.

All modules comply with RoHS requirements and are manufactured under ISO 9001:2015 quality management at our Shenzhen facility. Custom resolutions, outline dimensions, and interface configurations are available for OEM projects.

Applications

Industrial HMI Panels

Graphic LCDs display process data, alarm graphics, and navigation menus in factory automation controllers, drives, and PLCs — where color is unnecessary and monochrome reliability is preferred.

Portable Instruments

Handheld multimeters, data loggers, and field calibrators use 128x64 and 128x128 graphic modules for waveform display and measurement readout with low power consumption.

Medical Handhelds

Portable patient monitoring devices and diagnostic tools use graphic LCDs for simple user interfaces with long battery life.

Weighing & Measurement Equipment

Scales, balances, and analytical instruments use graphic LCDs for clear numeric and graphic data presentation.

Access Control & Security Panels

Building access terminals and alarm control panels use graphic LCDs for keypads, status graphics, and user menu navigation.

Point-of-Sale Accessories

Customer pole displays and receipt printer interfaces use graphic LCDs for clear customer-facing information.

Frequently Asked Questions

What graphics libraries work with your graphic LCD modules?

Our ST7565 and UC1701-based modules are supported by the U8g2 library for Arduino — one of the most comprehensive graphics libraries for monochrome displays. ST7920-based modules are supported by the u8glib and direct SPI/parallel drivers. We provide sample initialization code with each module.

Can I display Chinese characters on a graphic LCD?

Yes, with an appropriate font library. The ST7920 controller has a built-in Chinese character ROM. For other controllers, Chinese fonts can be stored in external flash and rendered via software. Please contact us if you need guidance on Chinese character display support.
