Below you will find answers to the questions we receive most often. If your question is not covered here, please contact us directly — our team responds within 24 hours.

General Questions

What is your minimum order quantity (MOQ)?

For standard catalog products, the MOQ is 100 units. For customers evaluating a product for the first time, we offer sample orders (typically 1-10 units) at the standard unit price plus shipping. For custom display projects, MOQ is typically 500-1,000 units depending on the degree of customization and tooling requirements. Please contact us to discuss your specific situation — we are flexible for the right long-term partnership.

What is your typical lead time?

For standard catalog products with stock availability, lead time is 1-2 weeks. For standard products requiring production, lead time is typically 2-3 weeks. Custom display samples require 2-4 weeks from engineering confirmation. Custom mass production orders require 4-6 weeks after sample approval. We will confirm the exact lead time at time of quotation based on current production capacity.

Do you provide samples?

Yes. We encourage customers to evaluate samples before placing production orders. Sample units are charged at the standard unit price plus shipping. For qualified OEM customers, we occasionally offer free samples on a case-by-case basis — please contact our sales team to discuss your project.

What payment terms do you accept?

We accept T/T (bank wire transfer), L/C (Letter of Credit) for large orders, PayPal for small sample orders, and Western Union. Standard payment terms for production orders are 30% deposit with order confirmation and 70% balance before shipment. For established customers, net payment terms may be available.

How do you handle shipping and logistics?

We ship globally via DHL, FedEx, UPS, and TNT for express air shipments, and via sea freight for large volume orders. We are experienced with export documentation — commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin, and COA — for customs clearance in all major markets. Incoterms (FOB, CIF, EXW, DDP) are agreed at time of quotation. We can also work with your designated freight forwarder.

Technical Questions

What interfaces do your displays support?

Our display modules support a wide range of interfaces: 8-bit and 4-bit parallel (MCU bus), SPI, I2C, RGB (18-bit and 24-bit), MIPI DSI, LVDS, and UART (on some PCBA modules). The available interface depends on the product category — please refer to individual product pages or contact us with your MCU/SoC interface requirements and we will recommend compatible modules.

What is the difference between TN, STN, FSTN, and TFT displays?

TN (Twisted Nematic) is the basic LCD with limited viewing angle and contrast, used in low-cost simple indicators. STN (Super Twisted Nematic) offers improved contrast and wider angle for character and graphic LCD modules. FSTN (Film-compensated STN) provides black-on-white or white-on-black appearance, sharper than STN for industrial character/graphic LCD. TFT (Thin Film Transistor) is active matrix, full color, high resolution and fast response for color displays in all industries. For most new designs requiring color or graphics, TFT is the recommended choice. Character and monochrome graphic applications are well-served by STN or FSTN.

Can I use your displays with Arduino or Raspberry Pi?

Yes. Many of our character LCD modules (I2C interface) and graphic LCD modules (SPI interface) are directly compatible with Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and similar development platforms. We provide datasheet initialization code examples, and for popular modules we maintain sample code repositories. Please mention your development platform when requesting samples and we will include relevant documentation.

What is the operating temperature range?

Temperature range varies by product: Standard (commercial) grade is 0C to +50C or 0C to +70C. Industrial wide temperature is -20C to +70C or -30C to +80C. Extended wide temperature is -40C to +85C (automotive and outdoor applications). Wide-temperature and automotive-grade variants are available for most product families. Please specify your operating temperature requirement when requesting a quote.

Do you provide technical support after purchase?

Yes. Our technical support team assists customers with integration questions, initialization troubleshooting, interface timing issues, and application-specific guidance. Support is available via email (sales@relialinktech.com) and WhatsApp, with typical response time within 4 business hours. For OEM customers, dedicated application engineer support is available throughout the design and production phases.

Ordering & Logistics

How do I place an order?

The process is straightforward: (1) Contact us via email or WhatsApp with your product requirement and quantity. (2) We provide a formal quotation within 24 hours. (3) You confirm the order and we issue a Proforma Invoice (PI). (4) You remit the deposit payment. (5) We schedule production and confirm the delivery date. (6) Balance payment before shipment, and we arrange delivery. For repeat orders from existing customers, the process is even faster.

Can you ship to my country?

Yes. We ship to customers in 50+ countries including the United States, Canada, Germany, United Kingdom, France, Netherlands, Australia, Japan, South Korea, India, Brazil, and across Southeast Asia. We are familiar with import regulations, HS codes, and documentation requirements for all major markets. For shipments to countries with specific import restrictions, please contact us and we will advise on the best approach.

What is your warranty policy?

Standard products carry a 12-month warranty against manufacturing defects from the date of shipment. Warranty coverage includes free replacement of confirmed defective units. It does not cover damage resulting from improper handling, incorrect voltage, ESD damage, or physical abuse. For custom OEM projects, warranty terms are defined in the purchase agreement and may be extended for specific applications.

Product-Specific Questions

What is the difference between a character LCD and a graphic LCD?

Character LCD modules display pre-defined character sets (letters, numbers, symbols) in fixed cell positions — for example, a 16x2 module displays 16 characters on 2 rows. They are simple to program and cost-effective for applications that only need to show text. Graphic LCD modules control individual pixels, allowing any content to be displayed — text, icons, waveforms, or custom graphics. Graphic LCDs are more flexible but require more firmware effort. For any application requiring custom graphics or non-standard fonts, a graphic LCD or TFT is the right choice.

Do your displays support touch screens?

Yes. Touch integration is available on TFT LCD modules in two forms: resistive touch (pressure-based, works with gloves, lower cost) and capacitive touch (gesture-based, multi-touch, similar to smartphone feel). We can supply TFT modules with pre-bonded touch overlays, or supply the touch panel separately for customer integration. For custom projects, we support custom cover glass bonding with optical adhesive (OCA/OCR).

What backlight options are available?

LED backlight options vary by product family. Color options include white (most common), yellow-green, blue, red, amber, and RGB. Brightness ranges from standard (80-200 nits typical for character/graphic LCD) to high-brightness (500-2,000 nits for TFT outdoor use). PWM dimming control is available on most backlight designs. Rated lifetime is 50,000-100,000 hours depending on backlight type and operating temperature.

Support

Do you offer custom display solutions?

Yes — custom display development is one of our core services. We support full OEM/ODM customization including size, interface, backlight, touch, coating, connector configuration, and packaging. Our engineering team handles the complete development cycle from specification to mass production. Custom samples typically take 2-4 weeks. Please visit our Custom Display Solutions page or contact us directly to discuss your requirements.

What certifications do your products hold?

Relialink holds ISO 9001:2015 (Quality management system), ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental management system), RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances), REACH (EU chemical substance compliance), CE (European conformity), and FCC (US Federal Communications Commission) certifications. Specific certification documents (certificates, test reports, COA) are available on request for any product. Visit our Quality Assurance page for more details.
