Automotive Display Solutions — Wide Temperature, High Brightness, Built for the Road
Automotive-grade LCD and TFT display modules rated for -40°C to +85°C operation, vibration resistance, and high-luminance sunlight-readable performance.
Automotive electronics demand display components that perform reliably across the widest operating conditions of any industry. Vehicle interiors can reach 85°C or higher when parked in direct sunlight; winter cold-starts in northern climates expose displays to -40°C before the cabin heater activates. Vibration from road surfaces and engine operation subjects all components to continuous mechanical stress throughout a typical vehicle service life of 10–15 years.
Beyond the environmental challenges, automotive displays must also meet strict electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) requirements and — for driver-facing displays — maintain readability in direct sunlight conditions that can produce ambient illuminance exceeding 100,000 lux. Achieving adequate contrast in these conditions requires backlight brightness levels far above those used in indoor applications.
Relialink has developed a range of display modules specifically addressing automotive application requirements. Our automotive-grade TFT and character LCD modules are characterized by wide temperature operation (-40°C to +85°C), high-brightness LED backlights (500–1,500 nits), anti-glare surface treatment, and vibration/shock-tested construction. We support AEC-Q100 qualified component sourcing where required and can provide PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) documentation for Tier 1 and Tier 2 automotive supplier requirements.
The rapid growth of electric vehicles has created significant new demand for display solutions in EV charging stations, battery management system interfaces, and in-vehicle information systems — all areas where Relialink has active product development and customer engagements.

Typical Applications
Dashboard Instrument Clusters
Secondary and auxiliary instrument cluster displays use character LCD or compact TFT modules to show speed, fuel level, trip data, and warning indicators. Wide temperature range and sunlight-readable brightness are essential requirements.
EV Charging Stations
Public and commercial EV charging stations require outdoor-rated displays showing charging status, pricing, and user interface. High-brightness TFT modules (800–1,500 nits) with anti-glare coating and wide temperature range are the standard solution.
GPS Navigation & Infotainment
In-vehicle navigation and infotainment systems use TFT displays from 5" to 12" with capacitive touch, LVDS or MIPI DSI interface, and high color accuracy for map rendering and media display.
Rear-Seat Entertainment Systems
Headrest-mounted and roof-mounted entertainment displays use TFT panels with wide viewing angles (IPS) and high resolution for video playback in the rear cabin.
Vehicle HMI & Control Interfaces
HVAC controls, audio system interfaces, and driver assistance feature panels use compact TFT or character LCD modules with intuitive touch or button interfaces.
